Enter Building Group was contracted by Woollahra Municipal Council to carry out the erosion control work at Cooper Park. The slope was eroded by the heavy rainfalls in Feb 2020 and needed engineering controls to prevent further erosion. The scope of work consisted of:

  • Site clearing
  • Supply and installation of erosion control mats
  • Supply and installation of sandstone boulders
  • Supply and installation of timber fencing with chainwire mesh
  • Turfing

In order to keep in with the natural setting of Cooper Park and Figtree Lane Reserve, a soft landscaped approach was considered to restore the erosion slip. Over 150 tonnes of sandstone boulders were imported and stockpiled in terraces to provide stability to the slope. Works were carefully scheduled around close monitoring of weather forecast to avoid further soil runoff during the construction period. 

Enter Building Group assisted Council and Project Engineer with providing value engineering to deliver the outcome in a most cost-effective manner.
